You don't have to look any further than your local headlines to find that the country is at its next to
highest terrorist alert, Code Orange, during the 2003 holiday season. And you do not have
to be a genius to figure out that the $300 billion Bush has already wasted in Iraq as well as the capture of Sadaam
Hussein has done little to make the U.S. safer from the threat of terrorism.
If you have half a brain, you know that the war in Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terrorism. There
were never any Weapons of Mass Destruction and there was no nuclear threat to the US. And there is no evidence that Saddam
and Osama worked together.
Bush has wasted our tax dollars and allowed more than 1200 young Americans to die in Iraq for a lie.
If the $300 billion thrown into Iraq had been used here to bolster security in our towns or used to capture Osama
bin Laden we would be alot safer.
If you are a Redstater, do you really believe that if the U.S. Government spent $300 billion dollars and
committed 180,000 troops to search for bin Laden over the last three years that he would still be on the
loose? If you do, could I interest you in the purchase of a bridge that connects Manhattan and Brooklyn?
So here we are, Iraq liberated, Sadaam captured, and a nationwide Code Orange
alert based on the bin Laden threat.
As the New York Daily News (not exactly a liberal paper) noted on December 23,2003, the rest of the
country will eventually return to Code Yellow while New York will remain at
Code Orange where it has been since 9/11/01. Meanwhile, what has Bush done to protect New York? Increased
funding to protect New Yorkers? Now why would he do that - it makes to much logical sense!
As reported by the NY Daily News, Bush's "High Threat, High Density aid formula" is suppose to ensure
that cities with "critical infrastructure" and that face a "credible threat" should be given federal funds to protect
their citizenry. Under this highly sophisticated mumbo jumbo New York ranked 49th out of 50. Yes, the great
brainpower of the Bush Administration ranked NYC 49th out of 50th on the "high threat," "high density" scale. Incredible!
Even first graders know that NYC metropolitan area is by far the most densely populated region in
the entire United States! And whether Bush knows it or not, theWTC where more than 3,000 Americans were killed in the
worst civilian lost of life in the history of our country was in NYC! If that isn't high threat, I do not know what is.
So under the Bush formula New York City will gets $5.87 per person in anti-terror money while New Haven
will get $77.92 per person. Go Yale!
Thus, the New York Daily News to concluded in its December 23, 2003 Editorial.
"When it comes to New York, the feds don't give a damn."
The Reds View: Well why should the government care or God care about the modern
day Sodom and Gommorah? The Lord was pretty clear back in the day when he rained down sulpher wasn't he? Really!
