Well the Iraqis have voted and now they are on their way to becoming another Islamic Government likely to be headed by
religious leaders. Ye Hah, W and the boys have managed to beat off the secular humanist in favor a new Ayatollah, uh, Prime
Minister. Who is it goning to be? Time will tell.
The biggest news is that the Republican Party has decided that the Democrats were right all along about election day.
The Iraqis held it on a Sunday when most do not work. And lo and behold, lots of people actually voted. Does this mean
that the Republican Party is now willing to allow elections to occur on the weekend or on a national holiday so working peoeple
can actually vote?
Dont' count on it, the Democrats for years have been arguing that election Day should be a holiday or held on the weekend
for years in the United States because voter turnout would increase.
As they say down in Texass, Whoa, boy , we can't have that here in America, that means people who otherwise cannot
not make it to the polls because they have to work would have a fair chance to vote. Think of poor Jeb in Florida, he
barely has enough state troopers to keep African Americans away form the polls on a Tuesday. How could he possibly keep them
away on a Saturday or holiday?
